When you purchase a product, we collect:

• Your name and email address (provided at checkout)
• Payment information — we do not store your card details. All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We only receive a confirmation that payment was successful, along with a transaction ID.
• Your order details (which product you purchased, the amount paid, and the date of purchase)

We do not require you to create an account. We do not collect your phone number, mailing address, or any other personal information unless you voluntarily provide it when contacting us.

We use the information we collect to:

• Process and fulfill your order
• Deliver your download link via email
• Send a purchase receipt
• Respond to customer support inquiries
• Maintain records of transactions for legal and accounting purposes

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for advertising or marketing unless you explicitly opt in.

We work with the following third-party services to operate the site:

• Stripe — handles all payment processing. When you check out, you submit your payment information directly to Stripe.
• Resend — sends transactional emails on our behalf, including your order confirmation and download link.
• Supabase — stores order records so we can look up and re-send orders if needed. Data is stored on servers in the United States.
• Vercel — hosts this website. Vercel may collect standard server log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) as part of normal hosting operations.

None of these providers are permitted to use your information for their own marketing purposes.

We use only functional cookies — the kind that are strictly necessary to make the site work. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect checkout functionality.

We retain your order information (name, email, product, transaction details) for a minimum of three years for accounting and legal purposes. If you request deletion and there is no legal obligation requiring us to retain your data, we will delete it within 30 days.

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• The right to know what personal information we have collected about you and how it is used
• The right to request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
• The right to opt out of the sale of your personal information — we do not sell your data
• The right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

BillSnitch products are intended for adults running home service businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, contact us immediately and we will delete it.

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information. Payment data is never stored on our servers — it is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
